Yoga Pose May

Yippee, it's the weekend!

For dinner on Thursday night, we had leftovers.  Turkey meatloaf, brown rice pilaf with mushrooms, and fresh green beans.

Friday's breakfast was an egg burrito.  It included two scrambled eggs, spinach, cheese, turkey bacon, and hash browns wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla.

We had sushi on Friday night for dinner.  I had two soups - miso soup and wonton soup.

Along with edamame for an appetizer.

For my entree, I ate the Tuna Roll with Cruch and Tuna Hand Roll.

Austin ordered several other rolls that I couldn't eat because of my shellfish allergy: California Roll, Spider Roll, and Shrimp Tempura Roll.

For dessert, we shared a Mochi Green Tea Ice Cream.  I love the texture of these!

Yoga Pose May

Bloggers from all across the country have been participating in the Yoga Pose May movement, initiated by Tina and Kate.

Today, May 22nd, is my day to feature the Triangle Pose:

Stand in a straddle position, with your right foot pointed diagonally, and your left foot facing forward.  Bend at the waist, and stretch your arms out in a vertical line, pointing straight upward.  Turn and face the sky.

Yoga is the practice of shutting out the rest of the world and focusing on your inner self.  Yoga increases your flexibility and elevates your mood.

I have a brand new yoga mat from Aurorae Yoga!  Dozer wanted to help me break it in.

The pink yoga mat stands for Hope.

I love this yoga mat's cushiony thickness!  It is extra long, too, which is great for someone of my height!

I also received a yoga towel and slip free rosin bag.  Both of these items are helpful in preventing a slippery feel on the yoga mat.

To conclude a session of yoga, a snack is always delicious.  Cantaloupe is one of the most refreshing fruits.

What is your favorite yoga pose?
My favorite yoga pose is the Wheel Pose or Upward Bow.  It makes me feel amazing.

  2. Hi Ali! Thanks for the note on my blog :)

Yoga is something I'd love to do more of, but I let it fall by the wayside far too often (like lifting). Your favorite pose is sadly my least favorite -- only because I'm so inflexible :( I need to get better about that.

    Also, Dozer is super cute!!
